“A Bachelor’s Lounge”

We were called in by Ken DelVecchio from Berkshire Hathaway Home Services - New England Properties to partner up with him on a house that needed to be sold. If you are in the market for a real estate agent Ken DelVecchio and Nannette Fatigate have an amazing team of real estate agents who are great at getting your home sold in the nick of time.

Once in the home, we discovered it was consumed with filth and smoke. Initially, the thought was to remove the carpets on the entry way stairs and the main floor. We had previously worked with Pete Giordano at Extreme Clean & Green, a floor and carpet cleaning service. We brought him in on a previous job where the carpets were unable to be removed due to cost, also sub flooring is not an attractive option when showing a home. In this instance we asked him to come take a look and see if the carpets could be saved. He came and looked and gave us a fantastic price, which we happily accepted. Pete of course came through as always and did a fantastic job. We were able to leave all of the carpet, this way there was not a surge in cost of having to replace it all for the sale.

Prior to the carpet cleaning we came in and removed all the belongings and previous homeowners junk. Unfortunately, this deceased Bachelor had no relatives to leave anything to. We were able to donate most of the items. Some of the items we donated went to a family in need. They were very happy, and we were honored to help. We are glad we work in a business that sometimes gives us the ability to give back to our community and help others in need.
