“Murphy’s Law”
Initially, we were brought in to move items out of the house for the deceaseds children and relocate them to their homes. Typically we are not movers, but with a signed liability waiver we can move items if need be.
Due to a complicated living situation, the house was put on the market before we were able to preform our clean out services. The potential buyer had the home inspector do a walk through. He found mold throughout the basement and parts of the house, as well as various other issues. Once his findings were presented, our team came in and removed belongings that were in the way so F.D.X Restoration could preform the mold remediation.
After mold remediation was completed, our wonderful contractor Roberto with Quiles Construction, LLC came in and closed up the walls that had to be opened for the remediation. While he was there he touched up paint spots and other damages that were found throughout.
During the home inspection, the inspector found some electrical issues that needed to be addressed. We of course called the wonderful team at Grumman Electric to come in and handle the electrical repairs.
Once all of the issues were fixed we were then brought back in to perform cleaning services before the closing date. While cleaning we noticed none of the hot water was working on any of the faucets. We of course went to the basement to see if it was possibly shut off, which it was. Now that we had hot water, we got back to cleaning. While cleaning the 1st floor tub we heard water running, even though we had just shut off the tub. We again took a trip to the basement, this time to find water POURING out of the drain for the washer.
With none of our usual plumbers available and due to the size of the backup, we called in RotoRooter to come and take a look. It turned out that the main sewage line was 90% blocked. Due to the fact that it was a block in the main sewage line, the service also included a camera inspection of the line. Upon inspection of the line, the camera showed multiple areas of the main sewage line that had roots and a misalignment as well, which all added to the blockage.
So Roter Rooter performed their services. They jetted, replaced, and lined the main sewage line, as well as added an outside clean out port and fixed previous damages so the sale of the house could be closed.
Once fixed, we were able to perform our final clean and the house was sold! Some jobs take very little time and are completed quickly. This job was a HUGE undertaking. We had to provide not only our junk removal and cleaning services, but our Client Liaison services as well. We managed, so everyone could relax. We oversaw the job from start to finish and are happy to say the new home owner, as well as the Attorney who hired us are very appreciative of our services provided and are looking forward to using us again in the future. Way to go RHPLLC and our outstanding contractors.
